First attempt on cookie. And I must say, even though I substituted ALL the dairy portion of the ingredients, it still tastes great! Can imagine if I used the full dairy ingredients..... SUPERB!!! =) The substitution was because I'm bringing the cookies on my Bali trip so that my friends and one of them is lactose intolerant and I can have some on the way snacks. =) Took a long time to blog it because was concentrating more on my Bali photos! hahaha!

Berry Nutty
For my potluck tomorrow! Cream-filled center with cranberries. The peanut border really takes some patience to make! Haha I seriously think the weather in Singapore is TOO WARM! My cream melts before I can fully finish my work. I seriously need to consider installing an aircon unit in my kitchen! LOL

The Royal Sinister's Cloak
"Hehehe *evil laughter* Come! Enjoy this sinful indulgence!" says the Royal Sinister clad in a graceful pure white with lavender purple lace coat. Her coat beautified with a red ruby pendant and around her neck, hung a beautiful string of purple gems.
Haha! So drama! Well, its my chocolate fudge cake again! This time the inside is filled with strawberry jam from New Zealand, sponsored by my friend again. =P
I iced it with my chocolate fudge and then coated with a second layer of cream to give it an elegant look.
I made this cake for my senior who is also my colleague at work for his birthday. =)

Another effort to move out of the comfort zone in baking and challenge the next level. My friend's and my own birthday cake cum farewell cake. Haha
The colour scheme looks quite Americano....I feel like calling it "Captain America"!! =D
And I AM MESMERIZED by my own creation! Not to brag.... but... I really love it! LOL

Double Dark Chocolate Muffins
It has been a long time since I first baked muffins. Last time was with my friend. I did this muffin alone. They are pretty isn't it?
I feel kinda "Smurfy" looking at this picture.... hahaha Maybe I should name this muffin "Dark Smurfs" LOL!

Chocolate Cake Revisited
This time, its for my colleague's birthday celebration in the office. And boy am I getting more adventurous! I like it! Since she is Indian, I decided to sprinkle some edible gold dust on the dark icing to make the cake more "ethinic" hehe In the picture, the gold colour cannot stand out... LOL
The Little Baba =P
Being a peranakan, must learn how to many nyonya kuehs right? Preparing for my upcoming CNY cooking. Desserts to end the reunion dinner. Yahoo!

Improved Chocolate Fudge Cake
Used another recipe for the chocolate fudge cake. Now, its even better! And a super simple decor. haha
First Chocolate Cake
Going to bake something for my Junior College good friend. He loves chocolate... so I wanted to make a Blackberry Chocolate Cake for his birthday. First attempt, texture still not perfect, but the taste still not bad. =) Partly because I am using the blackberry jam from New Zealand kindly sponsored by another of my good friend. It is sweet with a tinge of sourness and yet the sweetness does not overwhelm your taste buds. You can also find lots of berries within the jam. Very good quality! =)
My Aunty's Request and my New Quest....
My aunty didn't like chocolates and asked me if I can bake some other cakes like butter cake. And it becomes a new mission and a venture out of my comfort zone of purely baking brownies.
This is also the point where I begin to realise it is time to try out other things. =)
Orange Butter Cake is now my mission. Failed many rounds CNY 2011 was the time to present my version 3 and following that is my friend's birthday which I presented with version 4.
Until version 4, I am still not satisfied with the cake.... Will KIV it for a while until I get better inspirations! =)

Many orders during the X'mas season =)
So happy to receive many orders from my friends who like my brownies!
I named my first build from scratch brownie recipe “初恋” (First Love) and even had a X'mas edition. =)
The reason why I named it "First Love" is because while transporting it on the train to pass to my friend, I can smell it and there is a sudden feeling of the early stages of being in love.
Quite Christmasy isn't it? =)

Little Venture into variations
Gotten more comfortable with baking a few round of using premixes, I start to build from scratch and experiment a little more things.
This is my "not too successful" peanut butter swirl brownie.
The taste is still not bad de wor! =)

How it all started......
I was walking along the aisle of the supermarket and feeling kind of lost and stressed.... and I passed by the baking goods section. Out of curiosity, I picked up a box of brownie mix (double chocolate walnut to be precise).
I thought to myself, "Hmm... Since I've got an oven at home, why not make some comfort food for myself?"
And there you are.... I'm officially hooked to baking.... =)
